An overwhelming majority of practitioners have completed a distance learning NCFE Level 2 course– Understanding Autism. This course explores topics including person-centred approaches to support individuals with autism, communication, social interaction, sensory processing, perception and cognition in individuals with autism, and supporting individuals with autism to live healthy and fulfilled lives. Practitioners access other distance learning courses.
National Clean Air Award Gold
William House Nursery has received this award in recognition of its outstanding commitment in providing a tobacco smoke-free environment to protect the health, safety and well-being of all who enter these premises. Enhancing the standards for full day care
Committed to Training
William House promotes a positive culture whereby effective leadership demonstrates and sets high examples of care, dedication and deep commitment to continuous professional development and training. Strategies are in place and these underpin the lovely calm ethos of the nursery. Parents and visitors comment on the efforts made by staff to create an environment so happy and stimulating for both children and adults
First Aid Training
William House Nursery has gone above and beyond the minimum requirement. By doing this, the nursery team and supporting staff have up to date knowledge, skills and understanding. It enables staff to be confident and continues our commitment to keeping children safe. Leadership and management have considered the number of children, staff and layout of the setting. As a result, all staff holds an in-date PFA certificate from Life lines.

The quality and standards of the care are Outstanding. The registered person ensures that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children’s learning, development & welfare, known as the Early Years Foundation Stage.
William House Nursery is committed to Safeguarding and keeping children safe. The Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager and Line Managers are trained and named Designated Safeguarding Leads within nursery. The Nursery team including support staff receives annual safeguarding training including PREVENT Duty.
