William House Nursery provides high-quality childcare and education, ensuring that all children are happy, content and eager to learn. We work in partnership with parents, who are kept fully informed of their child’s progress and are encouraged to join in events within the nursery. Parents are invited into nursery to discuss their child’s progress.
Children’s experiences in the earliest years of their lives are crucial to their development. From birth, children are already competent learners, and we build from there.
Activities are designed to offer the opportunity for your child to explore large movements, vision and fine manipulative skills, hearing and speech and social and spontaneous play.
When a child is aged between two and three, practitioners review their progress, and provide parents and/or carers with a short written summary of their child’s development in the prime areas. This progress check identifies the child’s strengths, and any areas where the child’s progress is less than expected or exceeding. Practitioners develop an individual plan to support the child’s future learning and development involving parents and/or carers and other professionals.
As your child progresses, a few months before the age of three your child will begin little visits to the 3 to 5yrs group . Familiar staff throughout the nursery will make the transition very easy.
