Staff, parents and children enjoy working in the community. Over the years William House has supported projects within the local area and abroad.
To name a few:

Darlington Memorial Hospital
The majority of our children have connections through being born at this hospital. Because of this, we wanted to show our appreciation of all the hard work they do for our community.
It was a huge success. Children, parents and the nursery team all participated and raised £1,500. This was used to purchase a baby-monitoring machine. A doctor and member of the nursing staff from the Memorial Hospital came to visit nursery to receive this gift, and all had a wonderful time.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, which supports abandoned children in 95 countries. The shoeboxes brighten the lives of more than 38 million children – some of whom have never received a gift before.
William House have supported this appeal for many years and will enjoy continuing to do so in the future.

Jeans for Genes is a wonderful opportunity for the nursery children and staff to have fun and raise awareness of this worthwhile cause. Nursery uniforms are discarded and jeans are worn by all supporting the pioneering research into genetic disorders and provide vital support services for children.

This is a new appeal that William House as a whole has supported. Children and the nursery team all wore pink for the day. Parents very kindly donated.

Once again, fun always plays a tremendous part in nursery life. We participate within our local community showing our children with a little help we can make a difference.

The children love this day, as it is an opportunity to dress up. This year, the children, myself and the full nursery team all dressed in our nightwear, next year we are hoping to be in nursery rhyme clothes.
Parents are very kind and always support the nursery and join in the fun.

Cedric the dragon comes to nursery explaining to the children about how other children can and do live. This is done in a child friendly and sympathetic story time way.
